The Kussmaul Timer-X 12V is a precision universal timer designed to provide flexible timing and relay control for fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicle electrical systems. Featuring quartz crystal-based timing, the Timer-X can operate in three selectable modes to control lighting, pumps, fans, electrical accessories, and other AC or DC loads requiring precise delayed activation, delayed shutoff, or repetitive cycling.

The Timer-X can be configured as a Delay-on-Pull-In (DOPI) relay, Delay-on-Drop-Out (DODO) relay, or Cycle Timer relay. Timing intervals are field-adjustable from 1 second to 99 hours using integrated switches and a small screwdriver. In Cycle mode, the ON and OFF intervals can be independently programmed across the full timing range for precise repetitive load control.

A heavy-duty 30-amp output relay provides both normally open and normally closed contacts and can switch loads up to 30 amps at 12 VDC or 240 VAC. A red LED illuminates whenever the output relay is energized, providing clear visual confirmation of relay status. Flexible triggering allows the timing cycle to be initiated using either a +12 VDC signal or contact closure to ground. The Timer-X operates directly from 12 VDC power and can also operate from 120 VAC when used with the required external power adapter.
