The Kussmaul Low Voltage Alarm 24V monitors vehicle battery voltage and activates an external warning indicator or alarm when voltage remains below the preset threshold for 120 seconds. Designed for fire apparatus and other emergency vehicle electrical systems, the Low Voltage Alarm helps alert operators to sustained low-voltage conditions that could affect vehicle readiness and the operation of critical onboard electrical equipment.

The unit continuously monitors battery voltage using a simple two-wire sensing connection. During normal voltage conditions, a green LED remains illuminated. If battery voltage drops below the preset threshold and remains low for 120 seconds, the green LED turns off, the red LED illuminates, and the internal relay activates. The relay provides both normally open and normally closed contacts, allowing the installer to connect a variety of external visual indicators, audible alarms, or compatible load-control circuits. The voltage set point and time delay are designed to meet the stated requirements of NFPA 1901, Paragraph 9-3.3.
