Kussmaul Dynamic Disconnect
The Kussmaul Dynamic Disconnect is an electrical coupling device designed to eliminate connector arcing during shoreline power connection and automatic ejection. Installed between a compatible Kussmaul Auto Eject and the vehicle electrical system, the Dynamic Disconnect uses timed switching to control when AC power is applied and removed from the load.
After the shoreline plug is inserted into the Auto Eject, the Dynamic Disconnect delays connecting the AC load until the connection is securely established. When the vehicle is started, the unit disconnects the load circuit before the Auto Eject releases the shoreline plug. This controlled sequence helps prevent electrical arcing at the connector contacts, reducing contact wear and supporting reliable shoreline power system operation.
Compatible with both Kussmaul WP Auto Eject and Super Auto Eject systems, the Dynamic Disconnect features 30-amp relay contacts and operates from a 12 VDC input. AC power must be present at the shoreline connector for the Dynamic Disconnect to operate.
