The Kussmaul Auto Pump® 12V with Auto Drain is a compact, vehicle-mounted air compressor designed to maintain air pressure in the air brake systems of fire apparatus, rescue vehicles, and other heavy-duty vehicles while they are parked. The system automatically monitors air pressure and activates the compressor when pressure drops, helping keep the vehicle ready for immediate dispatch and reducing delays caused by low air brake system pressure.

A pressure switch automatically starts the compressor when system pressure drops to 75 PSI and shuts it off when pressure reaches 95 PSI. The compressor operates independently without interfering with the vehicle's engine-mounted air compressor and delivers up to 0.30 SCFM at 80 PSI and 0.35 SCFM at 60 PSI.

An integrated Auto Drain system uses a normally open solenoid valve to automatically remove accumulated moisture from the filter bowl each time the compressor shuts down. This helps keep the moisture trap drained without requiring routine intervention by maintenance personnel. Sealed ball bearings are lubricated for life to provide reliable operation with minimal maintenance requirements.
