The Kussmaul Auto Pump 12V with Auto Drain is a compact, vehicle-mounted air compressor designed to automatically maintain air pressure in air brake systems while fire apparatus, rescue vehicles, and other air-brake-equipped vehicles are not in use. By monitoring system pressure and automatically restoring lost air pressure, the Auto Pump helps keep emergency vehicles ready for immediate departure and reduces the risk of air brake lockup caused by pressure loss during extended periods of inactivity.

An integrated pressure switch monitors the vehicle's air system and automatically starts the compressor when system pressure drops below the preset level. The compressor continues operating until proper system pressure is restored and then automatically shuts down.

The integrated Auto Drain system uses a normally open solenoid valve to automatically drain accumulated moisture from the moisture trap whenever the compressor shuts down. This automatic operation helps keep the filter bowl drained, reduces routine maintenance requirements, and helps protect the air system from moisture accumulation.
