The Auto Interlock IV uses a heavy-duty 4-pole, double-throw power contactor rated for up to 50 amps. When the auxiliary generator is started, the system automatically detects the available power source and begins an adjustable time delay before transferring the connected load. This delay can be set from 2 seconds to 10 minutes, allowing generator output sufficient time to warm up and stabilize before electrical loads are transferred.

Indicator lights provide visual identification of the active power source being supplied to the connected load. When the generator is shut down or auxiliary power is no longer available, the Auto Interlock IV automatically returns the load to shoreline power. Its automatic operation, adjustable transfer delay, and straightforward installation make it a dependable solution for managing multiple AC power sources in emergency and specialty vehicles.
