Delivering a 20-amp charging output, the charger features dual-voltage AC input capability with a front-panel selector switch for operation from 120V or 240V, 50/60 Hz power sources.

A patented Sample & Hold sensing circuit checks the battery voltage 120 times per second to determine actual battery voltage and compensate for voltage drop caused by current flowing through the charging wires. This precise voltage sensing helps provide rapid battery recovery while maintaining the proper float voltage and preventing overcharging.

Automatic current limiting protects the charger from overload conditions when charging deeply discharged batteries or supplying large parasitic electrical loads. A front-panel ammeter provides convenient monitoring of charger output current, while an optional vehicle-mounted remote indicator allows charging status to be monitored from another location on the apparatus.
