A patented electronic sensing circuit checks the battery voltage 120 times per second to compensate for voltage drop in the charging wires. This allows the charger to accurately detect the true battery voltage without requiring external sense wires, helping provide rapid battery recovery while preventing overcharging and excessive water loss.

The charger operates automatically and regulates charging output according to battery condition. Once the battery reaches full charge, charging stops to prevent continuous overcharging. A front-mounted ammeter provides convenient monitoring of charger output current, while optional vehicle-mounted remote indicators allow charging status to be monitored from an accessible location on the apparatus.
