Kussmaul Air Eject HP
The Kussmaul Air Eject HP is a high-pressure pneumatic connector designed to maintain air pressure in vehicle air brake systems while the vehicle is parked in the station and automatically disconnect the air line when the engine is started. Designed for fire apparatus, rescue vehicles, and other emergency vehicles equipped with high-pressure air brake systems, the Air Eject HP helps prevent hazardous drive-offs and potential equipment damage caused by departing with an air line still connected.
The truck-side mounted connector accepts standard air hose adapters and operates across a pressure range of 20 to 175 PSI. When the engine is started, a solenoid valve connected to the vehicle's starter activates an air cylinder that releases and ejects the connected air line. The system is supplied with a mating air line connector and check valve for installation.
