The Kochek Clearance 5" NH Low Level Strainer with Long Handles is designed to maximize drafting performance by allowing fire departments to efficiently draft water from shallow sources while minimizing unusable water. Ideal for rural firefighting, tanker shuttle operations, and portable water supply applications, this rugged low-level strainer drafts water down to approximately 2 inches from the bottom of the water source, helping maximize available water during emergency operations.
Constructed from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, the strainer features a pivoting adjustable elbow that allows for flexible hose positioning during drafting. The reinforced base pan incorporates additional side walls to help prevent damage to portable tanks, while the long carrying handles make placement and retrieval easier. This model is equipped with a 5-inch female NH threaded connection, meets applicable NFPA standards, and can also be used as a water transfer device for added versatility.
