The Basket Suction Strainer/Diffuser is a versatile drafting accessory designed to protect pumps from debris while maximizing water flow during drafting operations. Constructed with a lightweight T6061-T6 aluminum body and a rigid stainless steel mesh screen, this strainer helps prevent leaves, sticks, and other debris from entering the pump while maintaining full-flow performance through the suction hose.

In addition to drafting applications, the Basket Suction Strainer/Diffuser can also be used during hydrant testing to safely diffuse discharged water and reduce erosion or damage caused by concentrated water flow. The durable aluminum body is hard-coat anodized to Military Specification Type III standards for superior corrosion resistance and long service life. A rocker lug connection allows for secure tightening, and each unit includes a flat-face gasket for dependable sealing.
